Committed to making wines reflecting the soil and growing conditions of the Valley, winemaker Dan Wright and his team farm 12 acres of grape varieties, the oldest being Marechal Foch planted in 2007—the grape behind the award-winning Ovation. Once grape flavours have reached their peak and the tannins are softest, taste and instinct reinforced by science and method takes over. The result is handcrafted, small batch wines of distinction.

We set about farming in a natural and sustainable manner to preserve it for agriculture for future generations with 10 acres left as a kaleidoscope of forest, creek, pond and wildflowers. Our commitment was to produce pure and natural wines uniquely expressive of our land and growing conditions, and of our personalities. Reservation RecommendedWe produce honest wines that reflect our site and the vintage, and give pleasure. By intervening less, we provide a clear segue from vineyard to glass. Being in a cool climate, we demonstrate the inherent elegance, texture, perfume and refreshing quality of our wines. We use techniques such as foot-stomping, skin contact, whole-bunch fermentation, pigeage, and lees ageing to enhance these characteristics.
Beginning in 2018, with the arrival of our Winemaker, Brent Rowland, our wines are wild fermented, no enzymes or nutrients are added, and little to no sulphur is added. Most are unfined and unfiltered.

Wed - Sun 11am - 5pm
We have been growing vines since 1984, first in the Okanagan Valley and now in North Cowichan. We brought our experience and passion for grapes to the Cowichan Valley in 1999, when our family purchased an old 32 acre dairy farm. With much hard work and dedication, we were able to establish our 18 acre vineyard. We have 8 varieties of grapes; the main varities ranging from Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Marechal Foch and Gamay Noir and in 2008 we released our first vintage of wines.
